What are the best background checks service for the year 2009?
Only 2 come to mind. Here they are:
1. Intelius
Intelius, in my opinion, is a really great service for the following reasons:
- They are a big and very popular company which usually indicates updated database
- I haven’t really seen any complaints around them (except some complaints that are related to Identity Protect, an additional service for identity protection. It’s a long story, really, but the important thing you need to know is that it has nothing to do with the quality of the service Intelius offers.)
With Intelius you can do search by name, email, address, phone number and social security number.
Intelius Background Check
They are especially good for doing background checks and reverse phone searches.
Overall, Intelius is a great company for doing checks on people.

2. US Search
US Search, in my opinion, is a slightly better company than Intelius for the following reasons:
- They are the #2 most popular company of this type
- Their support is usually very transparent, unlike Intelius (according to my experience)
- They have a positive BBB rating
- I haven’t seen ANY big complaints about them
US Search Background Check
With US Search you can do a search by name, email, address, phone number and a social security number.
Now, US Search might not be as good as Intelius in doing reverse phone searches but they are excellent in doing a background search.
